[at-l] Thoughts on freezing supplies?
Oh ok, just askin'! Ziplocks are good, especially if you buy things in bulk
or in boxes.
Seems to me, most of those that re-packaged all their foods drops for the
trail were the main donors to the hiker boxes. The worst part of it, they
didn't leave directions. After postage, resupplying in town is as nearly as
cheap as buying in bulk, but you have the benefit of switching diets.
I must admit though, I did the last 500 miles of the PCT with re-packaged
food from a couple that bailed out on that trail the year before. Nearly
half a wall of their gargage had boxes lined with food stuff's. Those, a
little stale, along with a few dried veggies and meats from trailangel POG
that I mixed with my staples worked out just fine.
Your diet may vary, Sly
