:) but an on the ball dayhiker will pick it up and put in a ziplock bag and 
take and leave it at the next shelter for the thruhiker who follows.

:) an on the ball section hiker will split it in half, eat half, then put 
the other half in a zip lock bag and leave it at the next shelter for the 
thruhiker that follows.

:) the thruhiker will smell the dayhiker or section hiker and the M & M and 
follow them to the next shelter <G>.
