This is beginning to remind me of:
Q: Why is "running" like hitting yourself in the head with a hammer?
A: Because it feels so good when you stop.

Or the old slapstick routine...
He: Boy, my tooth is really aching...
She: Here, put your foot out. [stomps]
He: HEYYYY, THAT REALLY HURT!
She: Bet your tooth doesn't bother you anymore though, does it.
He: Well, no, but now I can't walk.
