Re: [at-l] apology and introduction

Sloetoe says:

<When the Banana SuperFlipPad 3000, 8oz, 500mhz, with 1gig on board and
integral/upgradeable <software, msrp $199.99, finally hits the market, all
our problems will be solved (And there'll be <Spandex jackets — one for
everyoneeee

Maybe the banana super flip pad 3000 isn't here yet but today, on the front
page of the business section of the Charleston SC Post and Courier is a
photo of a person demonstrating the Scout2 wireless subnotebook from Melard
Technologies - weighing in at a mere 5.5 waterproof pounds. It has an
internal modem which he uses to connect to cellular networks -- at least so
says the photo caption...

The most interesting thing about this photo though is that it is being
demonstrated by a PCT hiker. The photo shows a bearded man in front of a
small tent - sitting next to a pack with his TREKK Glissade hiking poles
lashed thereto. Anybody know Ron McDonald of hiking (not hamburger) fame?
