Personally, I hate posts like this.
Way too deep for the short length.
Way too long to put on a tee-shirt or bumper sticker.
Posts like this just pith me off.

My trail/life philosophy is this:

Life and the Appalachian Trail are pretty much the same.  90% of it is just
ups and downs, with a good bit of poison ivy along the way.  Only about 10% of it could be described as "scenery",
