[at-l] Ruck & car

Heya..

Well, this morning I finished digging my car out of the snow and making
an opening to the road. Decided to try out my digging ( using a garden
spade ... sigh... my arms & back be tired ) and back the car out to make
sure I could get out. Since i'm only a few hours from Pine Grove, i'm
in Annapolis, I had planned to leave around 1-2 this afternoon.

The car won't start. It gave it a valient effort, but just wouldn't
turn over.

The battery isn't that old, think I replaced it christmas before last.
but, it has been extremely cold with wind chills every night in the
negatives.

So, now I've dug out a car that won't start and isn't going to get me to
the ruck unless the sun warms things up a bit. There is no way I can
dig out the rest of the parking area to get another vehicle into the
hood area for a jump. it took me 2 days to dig out the section directly
behind the car.

Sooo, unless something amazing happens, I may not make it to the Ruck.
I'm really really irritated and p*&(&$## off.

I wanted to bid on some stuff in the auction & raffle, wanted to see
hiking friends before the thru hike this year. wanted to soak up info
from those who went last year and really wanted out of this snowbound
house!

anyone have any ideas?? i seem to remember someone saying that you
could pour warm / hot water over something to help it start if its
cold???
