Actually, this is a good and positive thing....because it *is* news. If it
weren't very unusual, unusual enough to make the news....*then* I'd be
worried. 

Goodness and random acts of kindness are the norm, not the newsworthy
exception.

 Acts of human kindness tend to get very little press compared to violent
crime and the darkest facets of humanity, easily  played to our naturally
morbid curiosity.
