[pct-l] South Bounder Sightings etc

Just hiked Sierra City to Belden and met South Bounders Mama?s Boy and
Seattle Dave between Bear Creek and the Middle Fork of the Feather River
about 35 miles South of Belden.

The weather was perfect, warm nights, cool days and except for the natty
flies at lower elevations around the Feather River and Belden, no bugs to
speak of. Plenty of water where it?s supposed to be except Nelson Creek,
which looked a bit low. Definitely a lingering summer rather than the start
of fall. BTW, I don?t know how many people have a problem with poison oak
but much of the path down to Belden (Northbound) is overgrown with wild
rhododendron and other bushes (manageable) but below 3900 feet the poison
oak starts. It?s avoidable now but in the next year or two it will be a
problem.
