Hi T O Back in 89' I had the discs at L-4,L-5 and S-1 Rupture, they
actually blew out. I ended up having two surgeries six months apart, one for
a Laminectamy and the other, a Fusion. I have to be careful about what I
lift ever since then. I've done the exercises on and off, mostly off, I
really need to keep at it but I don't. Its a blessing that I can carry a
pack at all, especially 50lbs. Its funny, I can't pick up things in front of
me but carrying some thing on my back doesn't bother to much, still have to
be careful and I do take a lot of Naproxen for pain when it does start to
bother me. I started hiking the PCT February of 03' and I will now attempt a
two week stretch from the I-15 to Hwy 58. Wish Me Luck, See you on the trail
of maybe the Kick Off this next year. Remember as I always say
