 1. SoCal, Section C: Is the Summit Valley Country Store closed on Hwy.
173?

The store has been closed for over a year and the water was off on February
3. When I was there last year the closure was noted with plywood nailed over
the windows and "closed" spraypainted all over them.

3. SoCal, Section C: Is the water access at GATR Road/Penny Pines still
closed for 2005?

There was water here last summer, although it may be turned off until winter
is over to prevent broken pipes from freezing.

4. SoCal, Section A: Is the water tank at the junction of Chariot Canyon
Road and Mason Valley Truck Trail in operation for 2005?

I don't get there often, but the last time I saw water in that tank was over
30 years ago. The only way to fill it would be for the state to take a
tanker truck in, and that's not a priority. Get water at Pioneer Mail (and
Lucky 5 when the cache is stocked) and then at Rodriguez Canyon.

5. SoCal, Section C: Is the Silverwood Lake Recreation Area open for 2005?

It is open now. It was only closed when it was burning and flooded last
year.
