[pct-l] What do use to carry your 2 gallons per day of water in thedesert?

I think that 2 gallons per person per day is on the high side. I know that
some of the desert hikers say to plan for that amount. We are currently
planning for 3 gallons per day for 2 of us. We think that has some cushion
built into it. In New Mexico deserts we think we used approx. 1 gallon per
person per day, but that may really be on the edge.

We like to carry water in 2 liter bottles. They are cheap and easy to
replace in almost any town. We like green ones if the water is going to be
bad. That way we don't have to look at the color. :)

This is our planning, YMMV.
