[pct-l] Boots/shoes and stream crossings

I heard of an idea, either here on the list or at an ADZ, for making trail 
running shoes more easy to drain on their own by heating up a nail with a flame 
and melting holes into the nylon portions near the edge where the material 
meets the sole.  Hold the nail in a pair of pliers, of course.
