What brand and model do you use?

I have the Leki Super Makalu poles. They were outrageously expensive,
but worth every penny (to me). I particularly like the positive angle
(i.e. bent) grips that keep my wrists straighter during use. On the
other hand, I don't care about the anti-shock springs at all - I'd
rather just skip them.
To be honest, most trekking poles are pretty much the same. Old ski
poles that you can pick up at a garage sale probably work about 80% as
well as the fancy telescoping models. It's just a question of how much
money that other 20% is worth. For me it was worth a lot, but then
because of my joints, my poles are just about the most critical piece of
gear I own.
