That's an excellent idea!

During my thru-hike attempt last year, I'd engage
mt. bikers in conversation and encourage a little
civil disobedience. And hey, if a 'no bikes' sign
happened to get torn down, that's the breaks.

When you see MILES of trail DESTROYED by cattle and
walk a better part of a day to get to a spring with
cow manure in it, how can you possibly deny bikes from
the trail?

While it would literally require an act of congress to
change the current laws, I'd encourage ALL mt. bikers
to exercise their free will. Use a little descretion
and politely share the trail. Allow the weaker element
of society the right of way and have a blast!!!
