[pct-l] Sandals

I was wondering about using sandals (Teva Wraptor Running Sandals) instead of 
running shoes.  I have been training in the Wraptors and with a heel pad 
insert and they seem to be working good.  I get the impression that folks who 
hike in sandals have fewer blisters, etc.  I know you have to train in 
sandals to strengthen your ankles and I use two hiking poles.  What have been 
anyone's experience hiking in sandals in non-snow conditions?  Thanks,
