[ft-l] thruhike length

A good friend, who is on the AT right now, invited me to join him and two
other thru-hikers when they hike the FT early next year.  I'm hopping at
the chance, but need to know how long I can expect to be on the trail to
begin arranging for time off my co-op job now.
