[ft-l] S. Florida Loops

FTA generally recommends that thru hikers start in the south
in early to mid January. Starting at this time means you
will avoid general gun hunting season restrictions as you
move north as well as be hiking during the less buggy and
generally cooler and drier season.

Depending on which of several different routes that you
take, how fast you hike, how many days off you take, etc.
you can complete a thru-hike in 60-90 days.

On the FTA website check "Hike the Trail" and then the "FAQ"
or "Frequently Asked Questions" links for more suggestions
for long-distance hiking.
