[at-l] suggestion for a 2-week hike in August

Hi all-
  A friend (actually, a couple) who are considering a '01 thruhike want a
suggestion for a 2-week hike on the AT next August.  They have no
backpacking experience yet.  They live in Florida now, so a relatively easy
100-or-so mile section in the south would probably be most practical.  Any
recommendations?
