Remember Jumpstart?  He parachuted onto Springer.  He has a great
self-published little book, available only from him.  I don't know how I
came to order one.  His son and son-in-law dropped hot pizzas down to him
ever so often throughout his entire thru-hike.  Funny guy.  Used to be the
postmaster in one of the little towns along the trail in NE TN.  Last
communication my brother and I had from him was that he'd fallen from a tree
and was injured right badly, back or something, but was slowly recovering.
Should be pretty old, now.  Leslie
