[at-l] Quotes<long and pseudo trail related>

this is not 100% trail related so if you are nto interested in quotes i
suggest deleting this thanks

i decided i will will quote some great RUSH song lyrics that coudl have
realavence with trail stuff. i was listening to them and thought man these
are nice lyrics and could be nice quotes pseudo related to the Trail.

some background info in case you do not know of rush. i got these quotes
from the "Caress of Steel" album(1975) the band name is.. Rush.. they are a
"rock" band i guess. there music varies drastically from album to album i
own ALL of their music and a huge collection of bootlegs too(i think they
are at their best around 1970-1980). this one album is one of my favorate
it has a great song called "THE NECROMANCER" the song is written about "THE
HOBBIT" by JRRT If you love that book this is about I think 10+ minutes of
great music set to the mood of the hobbit.

"I THINK I'M GOING BALD"
<it is about aging if you could not guess from title>

"My life is slipping away
I'm aging every day
But even when I'm grey
I'll still be grey my way"

<can we say hike your own hike>

"THE FOUNTAIN OF LAMNETH"
<as near as i can figure it this song is about a man's search for a fountain
of youth and his wasted life in seach of it. i think this because they do a
few more of this type on diffrent albums it is from a poem i forgot the name
of though sorry. the man searches and wasted his life in search of it and
when he finally finds it it is not what he was looking for after all and his
life is over.>

"Yet my eyes are drawn toward
The mountain in the east
Fascinates and captivates
Gives my heart no peace
The mountain holds the sunrise
In the prison of the night
Till bursting forth from rocky chains
The valley floods with light"

heck just plan great and easly adapted from songs to trail thoughts. this
song is full of them here are some more

"Another foggy dawn
The mountain almost gone
Another doubtful fear
The road is not so clear
My soul grows ever weary
And the end is ever near"

"Look... the mist is rising
And the sun is peaking through
See, the steps grow lighter
As I reach their final few
Hear, the dancing waters
I must be drawing near
Feel, my heart is pounding
With embattled hope and fear"

"The key, the end, the answer
Stripped of their disguise
Still it's all confusion
And tears spring to my eyes
Though I've reached a signpost
It's really not the end
Like Old Sol behind the mountain
I'll be coming up again..."

if you like this stuff and want to know more i will gladly guide you to more
great rush off the list

good luck all
