Re: [at-l] BAREFOOT wore Tevas

I think this has come up before but what was the oitment you used to
soften up those extra tough spots on your feet? I find I develop those
even with average walking as a sandal season comes to an end (for me that
season can run from late spring to mid fall - I get great tiger stripes
on my feet). I've ruined a couple pairs of sandals just with dayhiking,
but they weren't the big deal Teva sport sandals.

I think when I met Barefoot at US 55 just north of Front Royal she was
using sneakers, but I didn't concentrate on her feet. That was an
enjoyable day of conversations, eating (thanks to , oh dear was it Angus'
- blast my notes from that trip aren't here - parents bring great tasty
food), and having fun even though earlier in the day I really was feeling
awful after slamming into an overhanging branch.

Overall, for this time of year anyway, I think I'll stick with either
Vasque Sundowners or Exodus (the old, don't fit so well, Clarions get
used around town).
