Here's my first shot at a mail drop listing and a tentative
schedule of when I'd arrive to receive the maildrop during my
Year 2000 thru-hike.
It'll change as time goes on but I'm soliciting comments at
this point to avoid having missed something other hikers
would know but wouldn't be obvious to me.
I'll have a bounce box also.
Mailing cost is not an object at this point -- reliably
receiving the maildrop at a near-trail location is more
important to me as well as lightening my load in Georgia and
North Carolina via handy, regular maildrop locations.
In more than a few locations I'll resupply via local grocery
store rather than receive a maildrop. That's okay.
Some maildrops will be small and wouldn't contain much food
(to allow me to buy more diverse food locally rather than
anticipating what food I'd enjoy 5 months into my thru-hike).
