Forest Service Announces Decision on AMC Huts
January 1999 

White Mountain National Forest Supervisor Donna Hepp has decided to 
issue AMC a new 30-year special use permit to operate the huts and 
Pinkham Notch Visitor Center on White Mountain National Forest land. The 
decision also authorizes reconstruction of Galehead Hut and the Pinkham
