[at-l] Weakly Raising my Hand

A few weeks ago Red wanted to know how many on the list were thru hiking
this year and how many were planning to section hike. Before I could
raise my hand I was laid low with the flu. It was really nasty and three
weeks later I am still weak. This is bad because I am off on a hike in
three weeks. I hope that I can go on it.

This year I am planning form the Schuykill River (Port Clinton, PA) to
the Hudson River (approximately 191 miles of which I have hiked less than
10 miles) Part of the trail will be with the Boyscoouts (4 weekends),
some of it will be day hikes and part will be weekenders either by myseld
or with other hikers.

I have already have my Y2K bug free hike planned. I will spend
approximately two weeks with the scouts hiking from the Vermont/New
Hanpshire broder to Crawford Notch. In additon I plan to hike the
section from the Hudson river to the Conneticut boarder and the sections
that I have skipped between boiling springs and Port Clinton.

There is on snag in next years plans. Thjere is a good possibility that
I may be moving to Maine. No Jokes please. I've live in Canda for eight
years, so I know what the weather is like. There are two seasons, July
4th and winter :-)

Happy hiking to all

Grey Owl
