Hi All,
I just had a marvelous day - left to go to the mall at about noon and ended up
at Amicalola Falls. (The car had a mind of its own and I couldn't control it!)
I even hiked a little of the approach trail to Springer. I didn't see any
thruhikers, but I suppose if they were going to Springer they would have left
before 2pm!
After discussing the events of my day with DaRedHead, we drifted to training
methods. I understand the stair climber that Kahley is using , but what do you
do to train for the downhills? Do I need to invent some machine? and what
would I call it? A Stair Downer - that doesn't seem like a very marketable
name - any other suggestions?
After I got home, I went out and walked for an hour and a half - musta been a
slight case of Springer fever! To all of you leaving in the next few weeks -
good luck - email me privately if I can help with a shuttle, etc in Atlanta.
