Hi Linda,
What Jim said, plus this. I live fairly close to Mt Rogers and used to go
there every Thanksgiving. But now the area is overrun with hunters that
week end and we haven't been in years. Reports from hikers who have gone
the last couple of years confirm this is still true. If you go wear a lot
of orange and sing loudly, most deer can't carry a tune worth a darn  :-)
