[at-l] Beavers 1 AT 0
Those little feelers beat the AT. They decided to take back what was
their's. On way out of NJ to NY, In Hewitt, the AT is under 8 inches of
water, seems
those pesty critters build a dam! If you don't want to slush on through
got the "yellow flag" route. It takes a minor detour over rocks the
maintaining group trough in the water. I'll post a photo. It's cute.
It shows the bridge over the creek, leading into the flood! Slosh..
Read a hiker's note this morning in the Wawayanda Shelter, seems he
did 27.5 miles yesterday before crashing. Did know there was no
water near shelter. So get in the Ravine ( creek next to AT about
2 miles from shelter ) or pass a little beyond shelter ( 0.25 miles )
there is water by the "ranger station" down the blue trail or
across the road.
Great weather in 60's at night and mid 70's during day. Wow..
