I buy it at Whole Foods Market, in the bulk bin.  It looks expensive only
until you realize how light it is.  The stores with no bulk bins package it
for sale by the pound (which is a huge amount, but it doesn't seem to go
bad).  I assume that it can also be purchased in health food stores, like
most things that only vegetarians buy.
