[at-l] more observations from the trail

There seems to be many people from Maine that are walking home this year.
 E-yup...

I met Tyvek Man ( pay attention Kahley ). Most everything he carries was
handmade from tyvek. He is hoping someone from Dupont reads this. Now,
you would think that this is odd, huh? It sure is, but the weirdest
thing about this guy is that he is hiking barefoot!!!

It happened in Hot Springs just the other day! A young man proposed to
his young girlfriend, and she accepted. They are now hikng north with
large grins ( and their motel bills are staggering ). Maybe he should
have waited for a few more months. Life on the trail has a way of
altering relationships...

Keep an eye on the weather channel, the storms along the corridor have
been fierce. Severe thunderstorms, high winds, and tornado warnings are
becoming the norm. The worst part is that the hikers generally don't
know what is coming...

Lets see, something positive to end with ... the monkeys ate the beans,
untied the dogs, and used the ropes to swing over the Piscataquis River,
thus avoiding the ford ( and the federal authorities )...
