[at-l] re: fontana-springer

hi gary:

1) try parking at rainbow springs campground, near wallace and winding
stair gaps, i believe. they let my brother park his car for a dollar a day
i think, when i started the trail in 92. we planned on hiking together to
RS, but his knee blew up at trey mtn, so we hitched down to hiawasee.
buddy picked us up there. next day my brother dropped me back at dicks
creek gap before heading home.

2) i wouldn't worry about "feeling nothing" when you hit springer. i
think you know in your heart what it will mean to complete that interrupted
trip. you've got 2 weeks and 150 miles of amazing AT terrain to bring back
all the memories of 96. just go out there, have fun, and everything else
is gravy.

but you better make sure you'll be at trail days when you finish!!
