condition of the perimeter road in springtime can range from gawdawful

yes the letter was regarding reservations, yes they denied my
reservation for chimney pond in that it definitely does not open
til mem day weekend...  they suggested i do the 100 mile and loop
back to do baxter... but i'd rather join a trail crew for 2 weeks
and start the journey from the beginning...  i'm hoping the other
campsites are open but the letter said it was very questionable..
I'll rewrite for reservations for 5/18, but intend to surf over
to the Maine ATC to get suggestions for hooking up with a trail
crew and a place to pitch my tent for the 2 weeks... 5/18 is my =

bday - hence the starting date for this adventure of a lifetime...
i'd suggest you follow up on your letter because i got a typed
personalized response in 3 weeks... let me know if you'll be there
then...=
