[at-l] re: Outdoor Retailer

i've gotten a few inquiries about the Therm-a-rest Litefoam and the Nalgene
bladder:

the litefoam is available now, see the backpacker gear issue. all the
ultralight models have it, and three other standard models have it. the
litefoam brings the weight of a 3/4 Ultralite mattress to under a pound
(barely). basically, they take a length of foam about 2/3 the length of a
mattress that they want to fit it in, cut it in such a way that it will
expand like an accordion when stretched, then stretch it to desired length
to fit the matress. the result is same comfort, less weight and less
insulating properties, tho this last is not as important for 3-season use.

i do not know if the nalgene bladder is available yet. it is in their
latest catalog. they have a website (wildbill, can you help out here?) i
think it is

www.nalgene-outdoor.com but not sure.
