Standardized spelling is a fairly recent invention anyway. I think it was
Ben Franklin who railed against people who are so stupid that 'they only
know how to spell a word one way.'
Besides which, my spell-checker keeps hitting on 'A.T.', which proves both
that computers are stupid and that I can link this thread to the list.
