Hi,

DIRECTIONS   TO   SPRINGER   MOUNTAIN

From junction of SR 52 and 183 go west on SR 52 for 12.9 miles.
Turn right onto Big Creek Road go 12.5 miles to FS road 42. Mt. Pleasant
Baptist Church is on the left.
Turn right onto FS road 42 (gravel road) go 6.6 miles to the AT crossing on FS
road 42. Parking is on the left. (This section of FS road 42 is better then
coming in from Suchs, GA.)
From the parking area it is an easy one (1) mile hike to Springer Mt.

You could call the Forrest Service for the current status of FS Road 42.

I have a map (In .jpg format) showing most of the route. If anyone would like
the map let me know and I will email it.
