[at-l] Philosophy thread

I am back again.  Yes civilization is a horrible condition.  I find
modern society pretty repugnant, but I quietly work to try and change
it.  I dream for the real wilderness with people like those I meet on
the trail.  It is good to get on the trail and to escape the craziness
of 'modern life'.  The Shakers had a song that goes

Tis a joy to be simple
Tis a joy to be free

We tend to keep things simple when we are on the trail.
