There is an organization for Lyme disease.  I cannot remember the org's
name but 1-800-tickbite sticks in my mind.  A Yahoo search should give
you more info than you would ever want including the name of a Lyme 
literate MD in your area.  BTW if the tick was big, then it wasn't a deer
tick but could carry other diseases.
