thanks for your post.  i get so caught up in the long distance backpacking
mentality, that i need to be reminded that it is still the same outdoors
you are walking through even if you end up back in your own bed (or motel!)
that night.  getting out for a day can be just what the doctor ordered, and
i need to do it more often.
