I've been lurking for almost a year, and occassionally have some
insight. However, this I have question. I'm planning a 2000 thru-hike,
and are jealous as hell of all the lucky ones hiking now. I'm going to
be in Maine next week and was thinking about stopping at Baxter and
hiking Katadin. Can anyone give me any insight?
How long does it take to summit?
How about a round trip?
Do I need to bring any special equip?
How far up is the last water source?
etc?
Anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated?
