I found this info to be extremely helpful to me, and makes me realize how
lucky I was to not have had any problems with the water I drank. It looks
like a filter is still the best safeguard, with iodine tabs for convenience -
i.e., when you only need a qt of water to get you to the shelter where you
will filter a larger amt for cooking, drinking, etc.
