[at-l] Bear Attack at DWG

The local news just reported that a women walking with her dog, three 
year old and her baby in a backpack was attacked by a bear Sunday in the 
Delaware WaterGap National Rec. area.
The dog reportedly chased off one of the two bears but the other swiped 
the woman's face and knocked her to the ground.  The impact knocked the 
baby from the pack.  The women was able to regain her feet and when the 
bear charged again....twice..her yelling and posturing stopped the 
charges.
She continued to bluff until the bear ran off.  Kids and dog areOK.
Women is undergoing surgery to repair the damage to her face.
No mention of how near the AT the attack occured..it's a big place.
