[at-l] re:barbed wire & Trail Trooper

Jim--In response to your inquiry about the barbed wire---in a previous
post, Trail Trooper described his hike thru the Whites and Mahoosucs in
snow and ice.  He had no crampons, so used barbed wire to wrap around his
hiking boots to give him the much needed traction he needed.   When Terry
Karkos, the trail maintainer saw him at Moxie Bald Mt., he reported that
" anyone who wants to meet up with him can easily recognize him with the
barbed wire wrapped around his hiking stick."
