[at-l] Klipspringer about to leap...

Klipspringer, (Oreatrogus oreatrogus) is a small African antelope. Although
my husband cannot be described as being small, the name will aptly (we
hope) be describing what he'll be doing from about 10 April and so will be
his trailname (initially at least)!

Klip in Afrikaans means ROCK and springer means JUMPER, so keep an eye out
for Klipspringer alias Lionel Dreyer.

He did think of another name, sounding remarkably similar to the word no
doubt frequently expressed when hikers see yet another monster climb ahead
of them.
To test your Geography (?Felix?) there is a small island, much-loved by
tourists, in S.E.Asia which has the same-sounding name....

If anyone meets up with Klipspringer, I'd appreciate a quick note.

The AT list has made a huge difference in his preparation for this
Thru-hike, for which we thank you. Back home here, we'll continue reading
the daily input to try to follow his progress.
Thanks everyone

Pat Dreyer
