Also known as battle dress uniforms, which are cotton, which is heavy when
dry, heavier when wet, takes forever to dry, blah blah blah. Basically,
cotton garments of any kind are not a good idea for a long hike.........

Go with a synthetic, lighter, warmer, dries quick, less friction to
contribute to chaffing.
