Why don't we get off this topic--I can only see this headed for a serious
flame war--especially since I happen to hike with my WELL-TRAINED GSD, and
there seems to be a large number of stories that only deal with idiot owners!
I for one take great care to not bother "dogless" hikers, and I don't need
poorly trained dog owners to tell me why I should or shouldn't hike with my
dog. I guess what I'm trying to say is that not all dogs on the trail are
bad, just the few that ruin it for the others (I could say that about a lot
of people, too!) Let's just give it a rest, OK?
