[at-l] Re: dehydrator beef jerky recipe
I got this from Whirlwind's ( Stephen Galyen) mon and dad. I really like
its flavor and it is fairly inexpensive.
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tbs brown sugar
2 tbs soy sauce
1 garlic clove (crush it up in the mixture)
1 tbs worcestershire
1 lb lean meat, slice thin
coat the beef with the mixture, marinate for 6-12 hours, dry for 8-12
hours (depends on how chewy you like it)
Whirlwind is a fine young man and a wonderful backpacker. He, my son and
I have talked of thru hiking together in 2002, unless his dad hangs him
first. Hopeful
