At the Oct 96 ASDHA Gathering, Warren Doyle (a multi-thru-hiker) described
his SUMMER sleeping gear.  It consisted of a fabric-backed silver
"survival" blanket wrapped around his body in a bivy, sheltered by a tarp.
NO BAG.  I assume a foil-like blanket would work even better with a bag.
