Just a sidebar...
While doing a short section this fall from Wayah Bald to Standing Indian, I
noticed the last (or last that I know of) sign referring to Mt. Oglethorpe is
still standing a few yards north of the road leading to Rainbow Springs
Campground. Check it out '97ers as you hike by. I hope it stays as it's a
reminder of the history surrounding the trail.
