Actually, Netscape doesn't have a 'free' browser. You can use it in a
trial mode for a while but the license says you must purchase it to be
legal. 

The browser from MS, Internet Explorer is free. However, it uses more
memory and tend to be slower than Netscape.

Check with your ISP. Most have licensed Netscape browsers for their
customers. You may already be licensed to use it.
