U.S. Robotics Inc. will turn its PalmPilot Connected
Organizer into an enterprise productivity tool next month
by adding an E-mail client, TCP/IP support and network
synchronization capabilities to the handheld device.

The Skokie, Ill., company will release two new handheld
electronic devices, the PalmPilot Professional Edition,
which is an advanced model equipped with E-mail
capabilities and TCP/IP support for Internet access, and a
low-end PalmPilot Personal Edition that supports as many as
2,500 addresses.

The 5.5-ounce Professional Edition, which is expected to be
priced at $399, will include both TCP/IP support and a
built-in E-mail application that lets Pilot users read,
delete, reply, forward and send messages...
