M.K. said: "It goes on and on. Every
spring -even with the idea of the
approach of spring
(beginning in oh, say, Dec.) I can't
stand it. I long to be hiking. I talk
about it. Dream about it. Find myself
looking at the sky and wanting to go.
My feet start without me. I will go
back some day. It is too
powerful/wonderful/joyous an experiece
to simply fall away. "
Me too! Springer fever is a constant
presence. Being on the list keeps it
hot with the constant reminder that
there are people I know who will be on
the trail, soon. All I can do is plan
my next trips, and hope the months pass
quickly. (Colorado in August - CDT in
1999). I hate waiting though. There
are days that the Wyoming I picture
from the guidebook descriptions is more
real than the computer in front of me.
I wish I were there!
